Tragic Accident Claims Life of BECE Candidate in North Tongu.

Battor, Volta Region, In a heartbreaking incident, two Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates from Kanuwlou Basic School in North Tongu were involved in a fatal accident on Sunday, resulting in the tragic loss of one student’s life and leaving the other in critical condition.

According to reports, Sampson Agorme, 20, and Justice Godzo, 17, were bidding farewell to their sister, who had visited them in Volo, when they were struck by a vehicle.

The students were scheduled to sit for their exams at Volo Community Senior High School on Monday, 8th July 2024.

The District Chief Executive, Mr. Divine Osborne Fenu confirmed the incident and expressed concern about the psychological impact it might have on other candidates.

The tragic loss of a young life has left family, friends, and classmates in mourning.

The incident serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment.
