Liberian Inspector-General of Police Visits Ghana’s IGP to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

In a move to bolster the policing cooperation between Liberia and Ghana, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) of the Liberia National Police, Honourable Gregory O. W. Coleman, paid a courtesy visit to his Ghanaian counterpart, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, along with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), at the National Police Headquarters in Accra on July 29, 2024.

The visit aimed to enhance collaboration between the two West African nations in law enforcement, peacekeeping, and security. Honourable Coleman, along with his delegation, also toured the GH Police TV studios and the newly opened Ghana Police Shop, highlighting the advanced facilities and capabilities of the Ghanaian police force.

This courtesy call underscores the commitment of both nations to enhancing regional security and cooperation. By sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices, the Liberia National Police and the Ghana Police Service can work together to address common challenges and promote a safer and more secure environment for their citizens.

The meeting between the two Inspectors-General of Police marks a significant step towards deepening the partnership between Liberia and Ghana, paving the way for future collaborations and joint initiatives in the pursuit of peace, stability, and security in the region.
