A five-member committee has been formed by the Education Directorate of Asokore Mampong Municipality to investigate the circumstances surrounding the assault of a female student at Kumasi Academy Senior High School (KUMACA).
The committee is tasked with presenting its findings within a week.
The incident, captured in a viral social media video, shows a security guard and students physically assaulting the final-year female student.
Municipal Education Director, Samson Anawine Atogembero condemned the actions and confirmed that the victim has received medical attention.
The security guard has been arrested by the Asokore Mampong police and is currently assisting in the investigation.
The committee’s report is eagerly awaited to ensure justice is served and measures are taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
