Police Intensify Manhunt for Suspect Following Violent Clashes in Mamobi

The Ghana Police Service has heightened efforts to apprehend a suspect, identified as Fatau Motorway, who was allegedly seen brandishing a weapon during violent clashes between supporters of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Mamobi, Accra.

The altercation resulted in nine individuals sustaining injuries.

In an official statement, the police reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to holding all perpetrators accountable and urged the public to provide credible information to support their intelligence-led operation.

Community members have called for heightened security measures to prevent further unrest, while law enforcement authorities have assured residents that steps are being taken to restore peace and stability in the area.

As part of their investigation, the police are analyzing video footage and other evidence to track down the perpetrators. Images of the suspect, Fatau Motorway, have been circulated, with authorities advising the public to remain vigilant.

The police are appealing to the community to assist in locating those involved, emphasizing that public cooperation is crucial to ensuring justice is served.
