Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale celebrated his 40th birthday on October 17, receiving well-wishes from fans and industry colleagues.
Notably, his longtime rival Stonebwoy extended a surprise birthday greeting on X (formerly Twitter).
Stonebwoy’s message read: “No matter the differences. I wish you a long life, brother! Big 40… (Blackstar age).”
However, Shatta Wale responded with a scathing reply, taking issue with Stonebwoy’s reference to “differences” between them.
Shatta Wale tweeted: “Which differences? Stop fooling and grow up… The fans don’t need this enmity.. be safe.”
His response suggested that the perceived rivalry between them is unnecessary and harmful to their fans.
This exchange highlights the lingering tension between the two dancehall giants, despite Stonebwoy’s attempt at a goodwill gesture.
Shatta Wale’s blunt response underscores his desire to move beyond their past conflicts and focus on promoting unity among their fans.
