President Mahama Visits Bawku and Nalerigu to Resolve Conflict, Bolster Peace

President John Dramani Mahama has visited Bawku and Nalerigu as part of efforts to resolve the long-standing conflict in the region.

The President met with various groups involved in the conflict, as well as community leaders, to encourage dialogue and work towards lasting peace. This visit, which took place today reflects his commitment to ending one of Ghana’s most enduring regional disputes through peaceful and inclusive discussions.

According to Acting Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, President Mahama is determined to resolve the decades-old conflict in Bawku through peaceful means.

This effort is in line with the President’s vision of a united Ghana, where disagreements are resolved through understanding and diplomacy.

The President’s visit is expected to pave the way for lasting peace in the region, and his commitment to reconciliation and development is a key priority for the government in 2025. President Mahama is expected to return to Accra later today.
