Actor Mawuli Semevo Dies After Tragic Fire Incident.

Veteran actor Mawuli Semevo has been pronounced dead at the ridge hospital in Accra during the late hours of Thursday, February 20, 2025.

The renowed actor suffered burns up to 44 % of his body due to a fire outbreak that occurred at his residence on February 7, 2025. Beyond burns Organisation, a non profitable firm concerned with the lives of persons involved in fire incidents revealed that the actor sustained respiratory injuries and could not breathe properly.

News about his death was confirmed by events planner and communications professional, George Quaye on his official facebook walls with the inscriptions, “In shadows deep, the stage now stands so bare,
The laughter fades, replaced by heavy air…”

Subsequently, he added in a peotic manner announcing the death of his colleague “a heart that danced through every tale and role,
Now rests in peace…
In sorrow’s sad grip…Baba Fakunle! Baba Fakunle Uncle Mawuli! Ei! Hmmmmm”.

Medical reports from media houses have revealed that the late actor’s chances of survival was to be determined in 21 days. Unfortunately the veteran actor gave up the ghost within 13 days after admission to the hospital.

The late Mawuli Semevo died at 63. He recently featured in Ola Rotimi’s play – The gods are not to blame acting as Baba Fakunle in 2024.
