Shatta Wale Honours Agya Koo Nimo’s Request; Preparations Underway For A Massive Concert.

Ghanaian Media Personality and Manager of dancehall artist Shatta Wale, Sammy Flex has announced that Shatta Wale’s camp is thrilled to honour the request of legendary hip life artists Agya Koo Nimo.

Preceeding events have recorded that, the legendary hip life singer during a phone call with Shatta Wale expressed profound admiration for the artist and requested that he performs a show with the dancehall artist before he passes on.

Prior to their interaction, Sammy Flex during a media interaction on star fm’s Showbiz Show announced that their camp is excited and honoured by the legendary singer’s request. He mentioned that Agya Koo Nimo’s request despite a certain public image that have been created about their artist gives the Shatta Wale’s camp so much joy.

“Over the years, many people have painted a certain picture about Shatta Wale. So for someone like Agya Koo Nimo, a respected and accomplished figure in our music industry to express such admiration is a powerful moment for all of us in the SM camp.” he registered.

Giving an intel on the preparations underway towards the concert, Sammy Flex hinted that the concert will not be just a donation but a legacy that would be long remembered when the legendary singer passes on. “What we’re planning goes beyond a donation. We want to do something that will be part of the legacy this great man has built.” he added.

Sammy Flex also added that Shatta Wale is also excited about the upcoming project and is equally honoured to receive such a gesture from the legendary singer.

In concluding on his remark, Sammy Flex revealed that “When the time is right and preparations are complete, the rest of the world will hear about it [upcoming concert].

Agya Koo Nimo has made significant impacts in the Ghanaian highlife music industry over the years, as a result of his massive contribution, President John Dramani Mahama in May last month urged the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie to organize a ceremony to honor the legendary artist.

President Mahama made this call during the launch of Black Star Experience on May 1. He underscored the significant contributions Agya Koo Nimo who is affectionately referred to as ‘King of Palmwine music’ made in the Ghanaian highlife and folklore music in the past years.

The president called for a ceremony in his honor before he passes on. “This is a man we must honour before he passes. Because that was a genre of music that has become a part of our musical archive and our folklore. For people like this, we should not wait till they die and we go and cry at their funerals” Mahama urged.
