Ghanaian musician Sam Safo, popularly known as Showboy, has been remanded into police custody for two weeks following a physical altercation with his former signee, Kaytee, in Akim Manso, Eastern Region.
According to police reports, the incident escalated into a violent confrontation resulting in physical injuries. Medical assessments confirm that Kaytee sustained an ear injury, while Showboy was treated for stab wounds to the back. Both individuals were arrested and remain in custody pending further investigation.
Showboy was captured in a viral video at a local police station following the incident. In the video, he issued a caution to the public, urging individuals not to take the law into their own hands but instead report matters to the appropriate authorities.
Public reaction on social media has been swift and critical. One user commented, “Aban nsa aka Adanko,” implying that the law has finally caught up with the controversial artist. Another stated, “This guy ankasa he hasn’t learnt anything. He will see pepper in Nsawam,” referring to the prison facility known for housing high-profile inmates.
Others have described Showboy’s actions as excessive, with remarks such as, “He’s doing too much. He needs to relax and cool down. Too much drama.”
Legal proceedings are expected to continue as investigations develop.
