The office of the president Nana Akufo-Addo Addo has stated categorically that no presidential pardon has been granted to some 11 convicts.
Initial reports had indicated that the president exercised his prerogative power of mercy granting the CEO of Capital bank, Ato Essien and some others presidential pardon in a release that was issued on December 31st last year.
The president has urged the entire public to disregard that notice and rely only on official communique from the office of the president henceforth.
