On December 29, 2024, legendary Ghanaian musician Amakye Dede and his team were involved in a car accident between Apam and Winneba while traveling from Takoradi to Agona Swedru for a scheduled performance. This incident led to Amakye Dede and his team receiving first aid at Winneba Hospital, causing him to miss a performance in Kumasi.
In response to this unfortunate event, Amakye Dede’s management took swift action to address the situation and communicate with fans.
Amakye Dede’s management team promptly issued a statement apologizing to fans for the inconvenience caused by his absence in Kumasi. They expressed gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and support from fans and reassured them that Amakye Dede was receiving the necessary care to recover from the accident. The management team also conveyed their hope that Amakye Dede would be able to deliver a memorable performance once he had fully recovered.
