Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and producer Camidoh has released his latest extended play (EP) titled “Trustn God”, a deeply personal project that marks a significant artistic evolution.
The EP, now available on all major streaming platforms, showcases a more introspective and emotionally resonant side of the award-winning artist.
Widely recognised for his ability to fuse Afrobeats with R&B, Camidoh departs from his typical upbeat style to explore themes of pain, healing, faith, and personal growth. “Trustn God” captures a pivotal period in the artist’s life—spanning 2024 to 2025—during which he grappled with emotional challenges that ultimately led to spiritual renewal and creative clarity.
“Trustn God is a deeply personal project born out of some of the lowest moments I’ve faced in life,” Camidoh shared. “A season of confusion and pain… But in that brokenness, I found a new kind of strength in pouring out my heart on a song—as a way of praying and telling my worries to God, and trusting Him completely to fix me. Creating this body of work was more than just making music. It was therapy. It was my way of turning pain into purpose.”
The EP is composed of tracks that reflect a spectrum of emotions—including grief, longing, surrender, and recovery—delivered through Camidoh’s signature smooth vocals and polished production. It offers listeners a soundtrack to navigate their own struggles, while reinforcing a message of resilience and hope.
Having risen to prominence with hit songs such as “Sugarcane,” “Available,” “For My Lover” featuring Darkovibes, and “Maria,” Camidoh has earned a reputation for genre-blending excellence and wide-ranging appeal across Africa and beyond. With “Trustn God”, he aims to connect with audiences on a deeper, more reflective level.
