Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson- Nelson Dafeamekpor has sued Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjor over bribery allegations associated with former National Signals Bureau boss, Adu Boahene’s theft scandal.
The initiation of the law suit comes at the back of an X post by Rev. Ntim Fordjour citing that MP, Dafeamekpor who was the vice chairman of the Committee on Subsidiary Legislation during Adu Boahene’s governance as NSB boss allegedly paid GHï¿ 360,000 to the committee for the passage of a legislative instrument (L.I).
The X post further instigated that Mr. Dafeamekpor also misappropriated and looted GHï¿ 49 million during his reign as chairman of the committee on subsidiary Legislation. The post added that Mr. Dafeamekpor and other members of the National Democratic Congress who may be indicted during the probing of the alledged looting of GHï¿ 49 million be called to answer questions.
The South Dayi MP who doubles as the Majority Chief Whip in parliament in his law suit have indicated that the said allegations made by Rev. Ntim Fordjour in an X post is defamatory and has dented his hard earned reputation as a public servant with several years of service.

Additionally, the law suit indicated that Rev. Ntim Fordjour’s X post which has drawn negative reactions from members of the public were baseless, false and actuated with the intent to inflict harm on Mr. Dafeamekpor’s reputation.
In essence, the South Dayi MP is seeking a retraction of the said X post and an apology served him by Rev. Ntim Fordjour plus an interlocutory injunction restraining Mr. Fordjour from commenting on the ongoing Adu Boahene theft scandal.
Significantly, the suit seeks a public apology in both print and social media with cost of damages calculated around GH₵30 million or more.
MP Dafeamekpor’s lawsuit indicated that X post has severely tainted his image resulting in negative impact economically, and emotionally. “The Plaintiff has further suffered economic harm, loss of business, disruption to his professional activities, and extreme emotional distress as a result of the widespread dissemination and continuous accessibility of the defamatory statements” the lawsuit read.
