DVLA Boss Julius Neequaye Kotey Logas Reveals He Rejected GH₵4 Million Bribe.

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey Logas, has disclosed that he once turned down a GH₵4 million bribe offer. Speaking in an interview with Bismark Brown on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show, Mr. Logas stated that he is not in a rush to make money but rather focused on building a good name and maintaining integrity in public service.

According to him, leadership is about service and honesty, not personal enrichment. “I was offered GH₵4 million as a bribe, but I refused it because I believe in doing what is right. I am not in a hurry to make money; I want to leave behind a legacy of integrity,” he said.

Mr. Logas emphasized that corruption remains one of the biggest challenges in public institutions and urged public servants to remain steadfast and ethical in their duties. He noted that the DVLA, under his leadership, is committed to transparency and efficiency in service delivery to the Ghanaian public.

His revelation has since sparked public admiration, with many commending his bold stance against corruption and his commitment to upholding integrity in governance.
