The finance minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has failed to present the mini budget despite several calls from Parliament.
The minister has been reportedly absent from Parliamentary proceedings for four consecutive days this week with no indication as to when the budget will be read.
However, during yesterday December 19, 2024 proceedings, the deputy majority whip, Habib Iddrisu promised the house that the budget will read today as he has received confirmation from the president.
Mean while the mini budget has not been read during today’s proceedings and the speaker has also adjorned 2024 parliamentary proceedings to January 2, 2025.
