Funny Face Opens Up About Depression, Urges Trust in God.

Ghanaian comedian and actor Benson Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face, has opened up about his battle with depression in an emotional testimony. Speaking at a church event, the “Kasoa Trotro” star shared the pain and struggles he endured during his darkest moments, including contemplating suicide.

In a heartfelt video, Funny Face recounted how severe depression took a toll on his mental health and led him to the brink of despair. He described the turning point in his journey and how his experiences brought him closer to God.

“If I say I have seen death and I am alive today, we give God the glory,” he revealed. “I went through serious depression and wanted to commit suicide. So if God has delivered me from all my difficulties, then I tell you there is God. Believe me.”

Reflecting on his journey, Funny Face acknowledged the depth of his suffering, including stints in a psychiatric hospital and time spent in prison. Despite these challenges, he expressed gratitude for his renewed faith and determination to keep fighting.

“I have seen pain and seen suffering. There is God, and I have encountered Him. With God, we are still fighting, and we will be victorious,” he added.

Funny Face’s battle with depression has been public knowledge for years, with the comedian previously sharing glimpses of his struggles. His recent testimony highlights his growth, resilience, and renewed purpose in life.
