The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that it has received full financial clearance for the payment of salaries owed to the remaining 6,249 teachers recruited in 2024. This development brings relief to thousands of newly engaged educators who have been awaiting confirmation of their payroll placement.

In an official statement issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Service, GES indicated that the approval paves the way for the completion of all required administrative processes to ensure the affected staff receive their outstanding salaries.

According to the release, the financial clearance granted is valid until December 31, 2025. However, GES assured that it is working diligently to place all the affected teachers on the mechanised payroll in time for November 2025 salary payments, an indication that the long-standing concerns of delayed remuneration are finally being addressed.

The statement, signed by Daniel Feny i, Head of Public Relations at GES, expressed management’s appreciation to the affected teachers for their patience, dedication, and service throughout the period. It further reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness in salary administration for all staff.

The clearance marks another significant step in strengthening teacher welfare and supporting the delivery of quality education across the country.
