In a significant development in the Ahmed Suale murder case, the Ghana Police Service has invited musician and political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, to assist in the ongoing investigation. This follows A-Plus’s claims on social media that he has information regarding individuals involved in the case.
The Cold Case Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), established in October 2021, has been working tirelessly on the investigation and engaging closely with the deceased’s family. In a recent turn of events, the Police CID has released A-Plus after initially inviting him to provide information.
A-Plus is expected to return to CID headquarters for further questioning on Wednesday, July 18, 2024. The Police have welcomed A-Plus’s willingness to share information and are hopeful that his input will be instrumental in solving the case.
Ahmed Suale, a renowned investigative journalist, was assassinated on January 16, 2019, in Madina. The case has remained unsolved, with no arrests made yet. The Police’s decision to invite A-Plus is a significant step towards unraveling the mystery surrounding Suale’s death.
The invitation is seen as a positive development in the case, and many are hopeful that A-Plus’s information will lead to a breakthrough in the investigation. The Police have assured the public that they are committed to solving the case and bringing justice to the deceased’s family.
