Ghanaian R&B and afro-fusion singer, Gyakie has revealed that her debut album since appearance into the music industry will be released this year.
The artist when quizzed about her current love life relationship status revealed that she is single adding that anyone interested in knowing more about her love life should anticipate her debut album “After Midnight ” which is said to be released with this year.
Despite being tight lipped on her personal love story, the artist hinted on what the After Midnight album entails and what listeners and fans should expect. During series of media engagements across different media houses, the artist revealed that the album name – “After Midnight” drew inspiration from the fact that most of the tunes contained in the music album were recorded at midnight.
“Almost all the songs on the album were recorded after midnight. It’s within those hours that I find my best inspiration to write. The peace and quiet, the sounds from the birds, the serenity everything about that time fuels my creativity” she said

She opened up on what the midnight period meant to her, she cited the senerity of the environment during that time that boosts her level of creativity, the solitude she experiences during the late hours which provides her the opportunity to shed tears in her down moments and her mothers prayers for her and her siblings during midnight.
Gyakie has affirmed that her personal experiences will be projected in her three years “After Midnight” album encouraging fans to go for it once it drops this year.
She further praised the Ghanaian music industry saying it has been welcoming, educational and one she would love to be part of for a very long time.
However, she added that every creative needs a solid team to thrive in the industry. In her words, she said; “as a creative, your team is very important, they can make and unmake you.”
The artist in preparedness for the release of her debut album released a single titled “Sankofa” on May 23, 2025. The single has since then received a significant number of streams across various music platforms.
