A wave of mixed emotions swept through the Kade Traditional Area on Wednesday as Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II, the respected Kadehene, officially announced his voluntary abdication from the Kade stool after twenty-one years of dedicated leadership.

In an official statement personally signed and released in Kade, Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II confirmed that he ascended the Aduana I Stool in April 2004. Reflecting on his reign, he described his journey as “tumultuous,” acknowledging both the challenges and triumphs that defined his stewardship.

“It has been a tumultuous journey, but I thank the Almighty God for granting me the strength and wisdom to lead my people through the difficult and rewarding moments of my reign,” he noted.

Explaining his decision to step down, Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II said the move was made with a single, noble intention to promote peace, unity, and development among his people, especially those who had opposed his leadership over the years.

“I have decided to relinquish the stool after twenty-one years of occupancy with the singular purpose that those who actively undermined my reign can now unite and seek the development and prosperity of Kademan and Okyeman,” he stated.

The respected traditional leader also expressed deep gratitude to the Aduana family for their trust and confidence in entrusting him with the sacred responsibility of leading the Kade people.

“I extend my gratitude to the Aduana family who reposed such confidence and trust in me to sit in the place of my illustrious ancestors and lead the Kade people,” he wrote.

He concluded his heartfelt message with a blessing for the people and the land he has served for over two decades:
“May the good Lord continue to bless us all.”

Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II’s abdication marks the end of a significant chapter in the history of Kade. His 21-year tenure is remembered for its resilience, community engagement, and efforts toward development within the Kade Traditional Area.
