In a parliamentary session yesterday, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the Ranking Member on the Health Committee, reassured the public and health professionals that the appointments of health workers who followed the proper recruitment procedures remain intact and have not been revoked.
Addressing concerns on the floor of Parliament, Akandoh emphasized that there is no cause for alarm regarding the employment status of health workers who were legally and appropriately appointed. His statement comes in response to speculations and anxieties within the health sector about the potential revocation of appointments.
Akandoh stated unequivocally that any health worker who secured employment through the correct channels has no reason to fear job loss. He also urged stakeholders in the sector to remain focused on their duties and avoid unnecessary panic caused by misinformation.
