Late Dada KD’s One Week to be Observed on June 21.

A delegation of family members have announced June 21 as the date for the observance of the one-week funeral celebration of the late highlife musician Dada K.D.

Former Vice President of the Musicians Union of Ghana -MUSIGA, Kwame Appiah leading the family delegation expressed grattitude to the authorities of MUSIGA for their unwavering support since the passing of their relative.

Additionally, he advised the general public to refrain from sensationalizing issues surrounding Dada KD’s departure. This, he said will ensure the deceased had a befitting burial ceremony.

In response, president of the association, Bessa Simons acknowledged Dada KD’s exceptional musical talent especially for highlife tunes adding that he will be greatly missed.

Notably, the two weeks commemoration of Dada KD’s passing will be observed at East Legon Executive Club. The musician passed on May 16, 2025 at 56.

The late artist was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Gbawe Municipal hospital after he was found struggling to speak at his residence.

His family is yet to give an intel into the situations that led to his departure.
