Ghanaian actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as Lil Win, has surprised many people with his latest movie role. He is playing the part of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the President of Burkina Faso, in a new film called The Last African Hero.

Lil Win shared a short video of himself acting as Captain Traoré on May 21. In the video, he wears military clothes and is seen walking with bodyguards, trying to sound and act like the young Burkinabè leader. The video has gone viral on social media, with many fans reacting to how he pronounces the president’s name.

Captain Traoré became President of Burkina Faso in 2022 after leading a military takeover. At just 37 years old, he is the second youngest head of state in the world. Since becoming president, he has cut ties with France, ended military agreements with foreign powers, and helped form a new group with Mali and Niger called the Alliance of Sahel States.

In the video seen by A&C Empire Multimedia, Lil Win tries to copy the serious tone and behavior of Captain Traoré. While some people have praised him for trying something new, others think the role is too serious for a comic actor like him.

Fans React Online.

Fans have shared different opinions online. Some are excited and proud of Lil Win for taking on such a bold role. Others worry that his funny background may make the movie less serious than it should be.

A social media user named Sulley Bukari joked, “Please, you have a missed call from Burkina Faso’s National Security.” Another user, Yuri Daniels, wrote, “Kwadwo is a great actor, but this role should be given to someone who fits it better.”

Many fans also found it funny how Lil Win struggled to say “Traoré.” One fan, Kay Kay Standard, commented, “Finally, I’m not the only one who finds the name Traoré hard to say.”

Despite the mixed reactions, The Last African Hero is shaping up to be a bold and important movie. It tells the story of a real African president who is still in power. The movie is expected to include major events from Captain Traoré’s rule, like the attempted coup in 2023, where his own Chief of Staff and others were accused of trying to overthrow him. They were said to have taken bribes and worked with outside forces.

Lil Win says the movie is not just for fun it also tells a powerful story about African leadership. “This movie will inspire people and celebrate true African heroes,” he said.
