A philanthropist has rewarded the 65-years old Alhaji Ayaana Yakubu with a brand new Renault car for walking from Kumasi in the Ashanti Region to Accra to witness the inauguration ceremony of President John Dramani Mahama last Tuesday.
The presentation was made by a broadcaster popularly referred to as simply_kod at the independence Square in addition to an undisclosed amount of money and a Ghc 5,000.00 shopping voucher.
During an interaction with Alhaji Yakubu, he revealed that he has been walking long distances for some years now, as he mentioned that he has walked from Accra to Mecca in 1996. His walk symbolizes his patriotic nature to the country.
