After a 22-year-long conflict, the Mantse Ankrah Royal Family has finally come together to celebrate their first Homowo festival, marking a significant moment of unity and renewal.

The celebration took place at the Royal Palace and Family Cemetery Museum in North Kaneshie, bringing together members from all three sections of the family for the first time since the prolonged dispute began.

The Mantse Ankrah Royal Family, which consists of the Ankrah, Ayi, and Okanta sections, is traditionally led by three leaders, with Nii Okanta Ankrah II now serving as the overall head of the unified family.

His leadership was instrumental in uniting the family for this historic occasion.

During his speech, Nii Okanta Ankrah II expressed heartfelt gratitude to God, the ancestors, and the gods for enabling the peaceful and successful Homowo celebration after so many years of division.

He encouraged family members to continue nurturing the unity they have begun to build and called on all Ghanaians, including those living abroad, to join in fostering a unified family.

The festival was graced by notable guests, including the Paramount Chief of Otublohum, Nii Dodoo Nsaki II, as well as other respected chiefs, queen mothers, Asofoatsemei, Asafoanyemei, and sub-chiefs from the Ga State, highlighting the importance of the event.
