Nana Gyasi Owusu Wins Best Lead Actor at Ghana Movie Awards 2024

Renowned Ghanaian actor and broadcaster, Nana Gyasi Owusu, also known as ‘NGO’, has taken home the award for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy/Drama series at the Ghana Movie Awards 2024.

This recognition comes for his outstanding performance in the popular TV series ‘Kejetia vs Makola’.

This is not ‘NGO’s first win for his role in ‘Kejetia vs Makola’. In 2019, he received the award for Best Supporting Actor for the same TV drama. The latest win serves as a testament to his hard work and dedication to his craft.

According to ‘NGO’, this award is a significant boost to his career, which continues to rise.

“This is a reward for my hard work over the years. It will also urge me to do more in the coming years,” he stated.

‘NGO’ is a versatile entertainer who has made a name for himself in Ghana’s entertainment industry. With a career spanning radio and TV broadcasting, acting, and master of ceremonies, he has captured the hearts of audiences with his charisma, sharp wit, and unmatched versatility.

His breakout role in ‘Kejetia vs Makola’ in 2017 catapulted him to fame, earning him critical acclaim and a strong foothold in the industry. Beyond acting, ‘NGO’ has also gained recognition as a TV presenter, hosting the popular TV quiz show ‘What Don’t You Know’.

‘NGO’s impressive filmography includes notable roles in Ghanaian films such as ‘Hello’, ‘Kudi Movie’, ‘One Hour to the Wedding’, and ‘Pawn’, which received 11 nominations at the 14th Ghana Movie Awards.
