NDC RECJECTS EC’s RE – RUN CALL IN DOME – KWABENYA CONSTITUENCY.

The National Democratic Congress NDC has rejected the Electoral Commission’s decision to re- run the parliamentary elections in the Dome Kwabenya constituency.
This is as a result of chaos that ensued on December 27 which led to the third suspension of parliamentary results amid disruptions during vote counting.

Addressing the media, NDC’s deputy director of elections and IT, Dr. Rashid Tanko lambasted the EC for its miscalculations. “There was a difference of 1,154 votes, so if there’s an issue with one polling station, that station should simply be excluded. The voter population for that station is 689. When you subtract 689 from the 1,154 margins, the results still favour Elikplim,” he said clearly indicating the NDC parliamentary candidate’s win.

This comes after the Electoral Commission announced its decision to rerun parliamentary elections for the Dome Kwabenya constituency as a result of the absence of a pink sheet for the Abokobi Women’s Development Centre 2 polling station.
