The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, is set to launch the party’s youth manifesto today in anticipation of the December 7 election. The event will be held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), coinciding with youth-focused activities to mark International Youth Day 2024.

In an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, National Youth Organiser George Opare Addo explained that the manifesto, titled “The Pledge,” aims to reassure young Ghanaians of the NDC’s dedication to revitalizing the nation. It will cover key areas such as health, education, agriculture, ICT, mining, the environment, job creation, and inclusive governance.

Mr. Addo emphasized that the document will detail John Mahama’s strategies and commitments to empower the youth and tackle the pressing challenges they face. Additionally, a special event, the Mahama Youth Town Hall Meeting, will be held later today at the Bukom Boxing Arena, where the former President will engage directly with young people, discussing policies centered on reducing youth unemployment, enhancing education, skills development, and fostering entrepreneurship.
