“No Woman Can Starve Me” – Fred Amugi Shares His Love for Cooking and Life Story.

Veteran Ghanaian actor Fred Amugi has once again won the hearts of many not just through acting, but with his love for cooking and stories from his life.

Speaking on GTV’s Breakfast Show, the actor boldly said, “No woman can ever make me go hungry.” He explained that he enjoys cooking and has loved it since he was a child.

Fred said his favorite dish to cook is okro stew, and he makes it with coconut oil instead of palm oil. At home, he usually eats it with rice. He even joked that if he cooked for the host, Kafui Dey, no one would believe a man made the food because it would taste so good.

He shared that when he was just nine years old, his mother made him cook for the whole family. On other days, she made him watch her cook so he could learn. His father also taught him that boys should be able to do what girls do, like cooking and taking care of the home.

Fred talked about his childhood friends too some liked to play games, others loved football, and each group gave him fun memories growing up.

Before becoming a full-time actor, Fred Amugi worked as a civil servant. He worked at the Ministry of Finance in the Supplies and Materials Management Division. He proudly said he was in charge of all the stores in the civil service.

Even with all his years of experience in acting, Fred humbly shared that he looks up to fellow actor David Dontoh. “I look up to David Dontoh in the acting field even though I’m older than him,” he said, showing his respect and admiration for his colleague’s talent and dedication.

During the show, he also spoke about his latest stage play titled Ghana Must Go, written by popular playwright Latif Abubakar.

With his experience in acting, cooking, and civil service, Fred Amugi continues to inspire people of all ages with his stories and talents.
