Authorities have initiated an investigation following the circulation of a viral video showing male students from Kumasi Academy (KUMACA) physically assaulting a female classmate.
The disturbing footage, which has been widely shared on social media, depicts a group of boys attacking the girl within what appears to be a school environment.
In addition to the physical assault, the victim was humiliated as she was forced to walk around the school compound while being jeered at. A male adult was also captured on video violently kicking and hitting her as she lay on the ground.
Social media users have expressed outrage, with many calling on the Ghana Police to intervene and arrest those involved. One user on X (formerly known as Twitter) commented, “The guy who kicked the lady must be arrested.”
In response, the police assured the public in a Facebook post that they are committed to identifying and arresting the perpetrators so they can be brought to justice.
