President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday graced the 2025 Ghana Transport and Logistics Fair held in Accra, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to transforming the country’s transport and logistics sector into a key pillar of economic growth and regional integration.
The three-day fair brought together major stakeholders from the aviation, maritime, road, and rail transport sectors, as well as investors, policymakers, and industry experts. The event served as a platform for showcasing technological innovations, infrastructure projects, and investment opportunities geared toward enhancing efficiency and sustainability in Ghana’s transport network.
In his keynote address, President Mahama highlighted the central role of transport and logistics in national development, noting that his government’s Big Push Agenda places strong emphasis on modern infrastructure, efficient freight systems, and safer transportation networks.

“Our goal is to build a transport system that supports industrialization, promotes trade across the sub-region, and ensures that goods and people can move efficiently and safely across Ghana,” he stated.
The President further applauded the organizers of the fair for fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors, stressing that such partnerships are vital to unlocking the full potential of Ghana’s logistics industry.
He expressed optimism that the fair would stimulate dialogue, attract new investments, and accelerate the modernization of transport infrastructure to meet international standards.
The 2025 Ghana Transport and Logistics Fair continues to position itself as a strategic annual platform for innovation, investment, and policy engagement in Ghana’s growing transport and logistics landscape.
