By: Deborah Amewoyi

Acting Spokesperson to the president, John Dramani Mahama, Felix Ofosu Kwakye has revealed that the president’s official trips to Senegal and The Gambia in a private jet would not burden public purse.

According to the acting spokesperson, the reason for the president’s choice of flight is due to the ongoing airforce review on the presidential fleet.

He disclosed that the private jet used by the president is owned by Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and it has been available to the president even before he became president in his second term.

He assures the public that the president will go back to using the presidential fleet once the review is completed and further urged the public to disregard speculations that the private jet would incure cost from taxpayers money.
