President John Dramani Mahama during his Thank You Tour at the Jubilee House in Wa on Thursday, May 15 hinted developmental Road projects in the pipeline for Wa and its neighboring communities.
During his address to the gathering at the durbar yesterday, the president uttered his immense appreciation to constituents for their vote during the 2024 general elections.
Prior to this, he mentioned that constituents of the Upper West Region will benefit from developmental projects specifically on roads, agriculture and youth employment for entrusting him with their votes and confidence to lead the country.
Specifically, president Mahama touched on plans to rehabilitate the Wa-Tumu-Bolgatanga trunk road, build new roads for the Techiman-Wenchi-Bole-Wa-Hamile stretch and resurface portions of the Sola-Fufulso roads.
Additionally, President Mahama hinted on the renovation of roads within several districts in the Upper West Region. He said the government will undertake road projects in Wa East, Nadowli, Daffiama-Bussie-Issa, and Sissala East.
Mahama characterised efforts to rehabilitate and construct new roads due to the poor road networking throughout the region. He recounted the plight he and his team had to face in order to reach out to constituents during the campaign season.
”During the campaign, we travelled on a terrible road network that has become characteristic of the Upper West Region. Work will begin very soon. In a few months, you will see contractors on all these roads” he concluded on his remark.
