Prophet Fire Oja Demands Transport Support for Prophecy Submission to Government.

The leader of the Holiness of Christ Zion Ministry, Prophet Fire Oja, has pushed back against the government’s new directive requiring religious leaders to submit prophecies for official review, insisting that the state must first provide transportation support to facilitate compliance.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra-based Okay FM, Prophet Fire Oja said many spiritual leaders do not have the financial means to travel to the Jubilee House to deliver their revelations in person.

“If the government says we should come to the Jubilee House with our prophecies, they should also give us car money and fuel. Not all of us can afford to travel there. If they want to hear it in person, they should take care of our transport,” he stated.

His comments come in response to a recent policy introduced by the Office of the Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations, which mandates religious leaders nationwide to submit any prophecy or spiritual message of national importance for urgent evaluation.

Presidential Envoy Elvis Afriyie Ankrah explained that the move is intended to encourage responsibility, discernment, and proper stewardship over the nation’s destiny, especially during these uncertain times.

According to Mr. Ankrah, the review process will focus on prophecies relating to political figures, governance issues, national security, and matters that could impact public stability.

“We are not trying to stop the work of God, but we believe prophecies must be handled with care so they do not cause unnecessary fear, panic, or instability,” he said in a statement dated August 10, 2025.

The policy announcement comes in the wake of a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of several government officials, military officers, and members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr. Ankrah also appealed to churches and faith-based organisations to intensify prayers for the country’s leadership, state institutions, and grieving families.

“In moments like this, unity and prayer are more important than ever. We ask all faith leaders to stand with us for the peace and stability of Ghana,” he urged.

While the government maintains that the new policy is meant to safeguard national stability, Prophet Fire Oja’s demand for logistical support has added a fresh layer to the public debate on how best to regulate the dissemination of prophecies in the country.
