Ghanaian-American comedian Michael Blackson has found himself at the center of public scrutiny after revealing that he fathered another child just weeks after the birth of his son with his then-fiancée, Rada Cheang, a confession that ultimately cost him their relationship.
In a candid Instagram post, the comedian admitted that “two months after Rada gave birth to little Mikey, a female friend I’ve known for over five years also gave birth to my son, King Kweku Blackson.”
He shared that while the birth of his two sons Mikey, born June 17, and Kweku, born August 6, 2025 has brought him great happiness, it has also come with deep regret.
“My two boys have brought so much joy to my life but also caused me to lose my fiancée, Rada,” Blackson wrote.
He went on to apologize for concealing the truth, admitting that not even his mother or older twin sons knew about Kweku until recently.
“My apologies for waiting so long, but I didn’t know how to do it,” he confessed, while thanking God for blessing him with two healthy children and publicly apologizing to Rada for his actions.
However, Rada Cheang who had remained silent until now did not hold back in her response. In her own Instagram statement, she described Blackson’s apology as “pathetic” and made it clear she is choosing peace over drama.
“I don’t normally respond, but let’s just agree that was the most pathetic post or apology ever. I’m walking in peace, guided by God’s grace. My energy belongs to my 4-month-old son, not to negativity,” she wrote.
Rada, who had often been vocal about her loyalty and affection for the comedian during their relationship, revealed that her love once came from a place of deep understanding and compassion.
“When love runs that deep, you stop seeing the man and start seeing the boy who just wanted to be loved and that’s what breaks you,” she shared.
Reflecting on her time with Blackson, she described their relationship as a “circus” and took responsibility for staying too long despite knowing she wasn’t what he truly wanted.
“I take full accountability for staying in the circus too long. His type was never me because I’m a real woman,” she said, adding that the experience has taught her an important lesson about knowing when to walk away.
The couple, who were once admired for their openness and humor about their unconventional relationship, appear to have gone their separate ways for good. While Blackson’s confession was intended as an apology and a step toward honesty, Rada’s firm response signals a woman determined to move forward focusing on motherhood, healing, and peace.
