Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, on his win in the December 7 general election. Putin sent a message to Mahama.
Which was delivered by Russia’s Ambassador to Ghana, Sergei Berdnikov, during a meeting with Mahama. This congratulatory message shows that Russia and Ghana have strong diplomatic ties. Putin’s recognition of Mahama’s victory also highlights Russia’s commitment to maintaining good relations with Ghana under Mahama’s leadership.
