Social media is buzzing with shock and sadness after news broke that popular Ghanaian TikToker, GhKobby, has allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend, YaaBaby, under strange and disturbing circumstances.
The tragic event reportedly happened on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in one of the suburbs of Yeji, a town in the Bono East Region.
According to a report on Adom FM, GhKobby was not alone during the visit. He came to Yeji with two other young men, travelling with YaaBaby in a car that had no number plate. The visit seemed friendly at first.
One of the men had done his national service in Yeji before, so the group visited a house where he used to live. They were warmly welcomed, and the hosts even served them food.
But the peaceful day quickly turned into a nightmare.
One of the young men reportedly returned to the car and came back with a gun. According to the report, the weapon was openly loaded in front of everyone. Before anyone could understand what was happening or stop it, a gunshot was heard and YaaBaby was lying dead.
News of the shooting spread quickly across Yeji. The youth in the area quickly informed people in nearby communities, especially when it became clear that the three young men were trying to run away.
The townspeople managed to catch them, and what followed was chaos. Many people believed the killing may have been linked to money rituals, and some members of the angry crowd began to beat up the suspects.
The situation became very tense until the police arrived just in time to rescue GhKobby and the two other young men from the mob.
Police investigations are ongoing, and many Ghanaians are calling for justice for YaaBaby.
