Stanbic Bank Makes Key Donations to Institutions in the Ho Municipality.

Stanbic bank Ghana has made a significant donation of approximately GH¢500,000 to three different institutions in the Volta Region of Ghana to enhance academic excellence, bridge digital divide gap and to contribute its quota to National development.

On Wednesday, May 21, officials from the bank made significant donations to the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ghana Police Training School and Mawuli School.

Officials from the bank upon their visit to UHAS donated some digital equipments to enhance advanced learning at the institution. Donations included 10 laptops, 20 tablets, two 75-inch television screens, and a high-definition video camera.

At the Ghana Police Training School, Stanbic Bank Officials made a GH¢141,251.50 financial donation to assist with the completion of infrastructural facilities in the school. This development will help provide conducive learning and training environments to prospective police officers in the near future.

Mawuli School also received a significant financial donation of GH₵100,000 directed towards the renovation of a 6 unit classroom block for the school.

Head of Main Markets at Stanbic Bank Ghana, Harry Opoku Agyeman hinting on the banks gesture yesterday described it as an investment towards Ghana’s future.

“At Stanbic Bank, our purpose is to drive growth and uplift communities. Supporting education and security is how we contribute to shaping a resilient, forward-looking Ghana. When we strengthen institutions, we set the stage for sustainable development” he added.

Administrations of the various beneficiary institutions expressed their health gratitude to the Bank for their act of generosity and their concious efforts to invest into Ghana future.

Prior to this donation, the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS ) have promised to initiate schemes directed towards the study of Sonography and Optometry in the University. Vice chancellor of the University, Prof. Lydia Aziato made this announcement during her appreciation speech to the bank.
