The video shows the child enduring multiple slaps from the teacher. Local authorities have confirmed that Madam Stella is currently in police custody as investigations into the incident continue.
In response to the public outcry, the school involved has released a statement announcing Madam Stella’s indefinite suspension and pledging full cooperation with law enforcement agencies. A separate video has also surfaced showing Madam Stella at the police station, pleading for forgiveness.
