Ten individuals have been arrested in connection with a disturbing viral video that showed two women being violently harassed and physically abused by a group of men. The video, which sparked widespread outrage nationwide, captured the moment the victims were pinned down, assaulted, and subjected to inhumane treatment.
According to the police, the suspects were rounded up following an intensive manhunt triggered by the public outcry after the footage circulated across social media. Preliminary investigations indicate that the group acted together to physically violate the two women, leaving them with injuries.
However, one of the principal suspects, identified as Tawiah, popularly known as Awaga, is still on the run. Awaga was the individual visibly captured in the video cutting through the scalp of one of the victims with a sharp object. His brutal actions, which caused severe bleeding and deep wounds to the victim’s head, have been described by authorities as “grave and criminal.”
Security agencies have launched efforts to track down the fugitive suspect, urging the public to volunteer credible information that could lead to his arrest. They further assured that all suspects involved would face the full rigour of the law.
