President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his commitment and willingness to collaborate with President John Dramani Mahama to lift both countries from poverty.
During his speech at the inauguration ceremony of John Mahama in Accra on January 7, 2025, the Nigerian president commended Ghana for a peaceful transition indicating its essence to Africa’s democratic society. “This moment does not merely symbolize another milestone; it is the revolution of Ghanaian democratic society. It demonstrates that in West Africa, we are capable of democratic and productive endeavors,” he opined.
That not withstanding, Mr. Tinubu in his speech underscored the need for self reliance as he expressed his intention to support Ghana’s continuous growth. “We will lift our people out of poverty and be strong and resilient economies for our people.” he declared.
Mr. Tinubu has shown confidence in President Mahama’s win and administration. “Your new president is a man of patriotic vision and substance. He loves his nation and its people to the core.” He is hoping that Mr. Mahama’s administration strengthens the bond that exists between both countries. “I have no doubt that your administration will bring about positive change and progress.” he affirmed.
