The University for Development Studies (UDS) has announced an indefinite postponement of the reopening date for the 2024/2025 academic year, originally set for September 27, 2024.
This decision is attributed to ongoing industrial action by several university staff associations, including the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) and the Senior Staff Association – Universities of Ghana (SSA-UoG), which have disrupted academic services.
UDS management announced this in a press statement, expressing regret over the inconvenience and assuring that updates will be provided once the industrial action concludes.
The University of Ghana has announced that further arrangements for the 2024/2025 academic year will be shared with students and the public once the ongoing strike is called off.
This update comes after the University of Ghana postponed the start of the academic year due to the strike actions.
