32 year old Ugandan male nurse has been confirmed dead by the Ugandan’s health ministry after contracting the Ebola Virus disease.
The deceased according to reports from the BBC indicated that he was showing signs of “high fever, chest pain, difficulty in breathing” and bleeding from multiple body sites” and finally gave up the ghost on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Mulango National Hospital in Uganda.
Reports have indicated that 44 contacts person who have interacted with the deceased before his demise have been identified to be tracked down by the ministry and rapid response teams have been mobilized to help halt the spread of the Ebola Virus.
According to statistics from the world health organization, the largest Ebola outbreak was recorded between the years 2014 to 2016 however this is the eighth recorded cholera outbreak in Uganda since it’s first appearance in the year 2000. The Ugandan Nurse died from multiple organ failure as a result of the ebola virus.
