The Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, welcomed delegations from the University of Ghana Medical Centre and the University of the Fraser Valley, Canada, at the National Police Headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Led by CEO Dr. Kwame Anim-Boamah, the delegation from the University of Ghana Medical Centre praised IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare and the Police Administration for the impressive transformation of the Ghana Police Service. The team acknowledged the notable advancements made in enhancing the service.
Representing the University of the Fraser Valley were Dr. Edward Akuffo, Associate Professor and Head of the Political Science Department, and David McGuire, Associate Vice President of UFV International. They discussed a range of topics with the IGP, including educational initiatives.
These courtesy calls highlight the increasing collaboration between academic institutions and the Ghana Police Service. The discussions on educational initiatives emphasize the importance of knowledge sharing and capacity building.
