In a release by the West African Examination Council on December 30, 2025, a total of 4,108 results of candidates who wrote the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (Wassce) were canceled.
As a result, parents and guardians of candidates trooped into the premises of the west African Examination Council for clarification.
In essence, waec has indicated the body has launched ongoing investigations into circumstances leading to the cancellation of over 4,000 results in the just ended academic period.
The investigation has uncovered alleged examination malpractices, resulting in the cancellation of some candidates’ results. Affected candidates will be invited to meet with WAEC officials for a fair hearing to address the issue.
Meanwhile, some concerned parents and guardians of candidates have given the council a 72 hour ultimatum to resolve the issues regarding the results.
