The World Health Organisation (WHO) in a statement has revealed that today marks exactly 5 years since the outbreak of the corona virus pandemic on December 31, 2019.
According to the statement, WHO has requested for the origin of the virus from its early start in Wuhan, China. “We continue to call on China to share data and access so we can understand the origins of COVID-19.” It said.
Despite this, the World Health Organisation has acknowledged the immense impact of the COVID-19 virus on human lives. “As we mark this milestone, let’s take a moment to honour the lives changed and lost, recognize those who are suffering from COVID-19 and long COVID”
It further appreciated all
health workers for putting their lives on the line to care for patients with the virus. As the World Health Organisation marks the 5 years Covid Milestone, it questions the world’s preparedness now for another pandemic as compared to the Corona virus.
