Controversial Ghanaian televangelist Nana Agradaa has made her first public appearance following her release from the Nsawam Female Prison, opening up about her experience behind bars and the emotional journey that defined her time in custody.Agradaa stepped into the public eye on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, just hours after regaining her freedom. The appearance marks her first since her incarceration and has drawn significant public attention.
In an interview after her release, she admitted that fear gripped her the very moment she entered the prison facility. According to her, she had never imagined that her work in ministry would one day lead her behind bars.“I was afraid when entering Nsawam Prison,” she revealed, explaining that she struggled to fully understand the charges brought against her and disagreed with the 15-year sentence that had initially been handed down to her.
The televangelist had previously appeared before the Amasaman High Court on Thursday, February 5, 2026, for judgment in her appeal case a proceeding that ultimately paved the way for her release.Despite the fear and uncertainty she experienced, Agradaa said her time in prison became a period of spiritual reflection.She disclosed that she made a covenant with God, promising that if He granted her freedom just as He delivered people in the Bible she would dedicate the rest of her life to worshipping and glorifying Him.
In a video shared by Today’s TV on Facebook, Agradaa was seen at her home shortly after her release, surrounded by her husband, Angel Asiamah, and other family members. The footage captured moments of reunion and relief as loved ones welcomed her back.
Following her release, Angel Asiamah also took to social media to celebrate the moment, sharing a video of himself, his wife affectionately known as Mama Pat and her parents, all dressed in white apparel. Captioning the video, he wrote: “Thank God my wife is finally home.”
Scenes of jubilation were also reported at Nsawam, where supporters gathered to celebrate her release. Cheers and excitement filled the atmosphere as she left the prison premises, with fans expressing joy at her return.
Now back home, Agradaa says she is ready to embrace a new chapter of her life grounded in faith, gratitude, and renewed commitment to her spiritual calling. Whether this signals a significant transformation in her ministry remains to be seen, but her return has undoubtedly reignited national conversation about her journey and future path.
