Ghana’s National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has a new leader, Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, who’s pledged to take the authority to new heights. In his first address to the NPA management and staff in Accra, Mr. Tameklo emphasized his commitment to advancing President John Dramani Mahama’s vision for the petroleum downstream industry .
Mr. Tameklo acknowledged the need for a fresh approach, quoting President Mahama’s words: “It is not going to be business as usual.” He promised to lead with fairness, an open mind, and a teamwork philosophy. The new CEO also assured staff that their welfare would be a top priority.
To achieve the authority’s mandate and uplift the petroleum downstream industry, Mr. Tameklo called for full cooperation from the staff. The NPA Welfare Chairman, Ernest Ayeh-Datey, congratulated Mr. Tameklo on his appointment and assured him of the staff’s support.
As a seasoned legal professional, Mr. Tameklo brings impressive credentials to the table. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Natural Resources (Downstream Petroleum) from the University of Ghana and has over a decade of experience in legal practice. His expertise in litigation and strategic advisory roles has earned him a reputation for delivering sound legal opinions and counsel.
Under Mr. Tameklo’s leadership, the NPA is poised to drive growth and development in Ghana’s petroleum downstream industry. With his commitment to teamwork, fairness, and staff welfare, the authority is likely to achieve great things.
