President John Dramani Mahama yesterday received the outgoing ambassadors of Angola, Malta, and France at the Jubilee House, commending them for their dedicated service in deepening Ghana’s bilateral ties and advancing economic cooperation.

In a warm engagement with the Ambassador of Angola, João Domingos Baptista Quiosa, President Mahama highlighted ongoing collaboration between the two countries in the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors. He further noted the remarkable progress in cocoa cultivation and educational exchanges, stressing that knowledge-sharing remains key to strengthening ties between Accra and Luanda.

Ambassador Jean Claude Galea Mallia of Malta, who has served in Ghana for over seven years, was celebrated for his long-standing commitment and the personal bonds he has fostered. Discussions centered on building momentum under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), as Malta–Ghana trade continues to expand, offering opportunities for businesses on both sides.

France’s Ambassador, Jules Armand Aniambossou, also paid a farewell call, where President Mahama acknowledged the growing French presence in Ghana. With over 60 French companies now operating in the country, both sides discussed creating an even more conducive environment for investment. France has committed €2 million to support entrepreneurs in Ghana’s creative sector and more than €90 million toward the Feed Ghana initiatives in the northern belt, reinforcing its partnership in development and enterprise.

President Mahama expressed Ghana’s gratitude to all three diplomats for their contributions to advancing shared priorities and pledged to build on the foundation laid for stronger and mutually beneficial cooperation.
