Ghanaian pastor Daniel Obinim, popularly known as Angel Obinim, has made fresh and controversial claims about his relationship with gospel musician Florence Obinim.
In remarks circulating on social media, Angel Obinim claimed that during their relationship, he was unfaithful to Florence and had relationships with several other women.
According to him, he was usually the one who ended those relationships. He claimed that some of the women he dated became emotional and cried when he decided to break up with them.
Angel Obinim also suggested that his relationship with Florence had continued largely because she was the mother of his children, rather than because of his feelings for her.
“I was still with Florence because she is the mother of my children, but not because I loved her,” he was quoted as saying.
The pastor further accused Florence of failing to perform some of her responsibilities as a wife, adding another layer to the ongoing public dispute between the two.
In another strong statement, Angel Obinim reportedly warned Florence against continuing to use his surname.
He urged her to remove “Obinim” from her name and went further to say that she should not attend his funeral if she refused to do so.
The remarks have attracted attention because both Angel and Florence Obinim are well-known figures in Ghana’s religious and gospel music circles.
The latest comments have also generated discussions online, with some social media users expressing concern over the decision to make private marital issues public, while others are calling for restraint from both sides.
It remains unclear what may have triggered the latest exchange between the two, but the public statements have added to the growing controversy surrounding their relationship.
As the matter continues to generate public interest, neither side has indicated that the dispute is fully settled.
